New sidewalks constructed at RLB Airport!

Basseterre, St. Kitts, Wednesday 1st June 2016 – The St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority continues its commitment to the further development of the infrastructure at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport with the construction of pedestrian sidewalks.  Work commenced Wednesday June 1st 2016.

The new sidewalks will be constructed using environmental-friendly materials and equipped with sturdy handrails for the safety of pedestrians. They will extend from the airport entrance downwards to the Koi Resort and Ministry of Finance facilities.  Workers of Public Works are assisting in the construction process.

During this time of construction SCASPA advises persons travelling to and from the airport to pay attention and adhere to “Work in Progress” and “Area Restricted” signs to avoid any incidents of injury or accidents.

The construction of pedestrian sidewalks comes on the heel of new tiling for the check-in areas downstairs of the terminal building and forms part of SCASPA’s overall upgrade and renovation plans for improving the ambiance and beauty of the airport facility, as well as increase efficient and safe service to its users.
