Basseterre, St.Kitts (March 16th 2016):- Major League Soccer star and St.Kitts-Nevis Football Team Captain Atiba Harris continues to show that home is always truly where the heart his. The Popular MLS Superstar recently put his money where his mouth is when he offered and gave his full support to the St.Peterz Runnerz Basketball Club.

Atiba has come on board as the clubs Main Sponsor for the 2016 Season and beyond. The Club comprises two teams. The Club’s Sebior Team are the SKN Basketball Association 2015 “A” Division Champions and will this year be featured in the Premier Division after being promoted. They also have a Junior team that is currently participating in the 2016 SKNABA J-League .
Harris has shown a genuine love and appreciation for his country St.Kitts-Nevis and his hometown of St.Peters. This latest gesture is yet another example of this love and appreciation.
In a social media message Harris encouraged the team to stay positive and strive for excellence.

The St.Peterz Runnerz Senior Team are among the favourites to win the Charles Morton Knockout Basketball Tournament this Friday March 18th. Coached by Basketball legend Trevor Marty Huggins the team is also expected to give a good account of themselves in the 2016 Premier Division.
The SKNABA National Basketball League tips off on April 3rd.

Harris has contributed to a plethora of groups and charities mainly in his Hometown of St.Peters. He has sponsored football Kits for the St.Peters FC as well as balls and equipment fot the G.O.A.L.S Porgramme which is ran by former SKN National Team Captain and Coach Clinton Percival and former National Player Allister Hewlette.

Harris recently lent his voice to the clarion call for a stop to the gun violence in St.Kitts-Nevis which has been plaguing the country for most of the past 20 years.

Starting March 23rd Atiba will be leading the SKN Sugar Boyz as they begin their quest for the 2016 Caribbean Football Union Cup.
