Man throws gasoline @ staff of BVI Communications

PURCELL ESTATE, Tortola, VI – Reports reaching our newsroom are that an irate customer threw gasoline on the staff of BVI Communications in Purcell Estate, on the main island of Tortola, today October 23, 2017 before being subdued.
This information was confirmed by a senior police source.
According to further reports reaching our newsroom, a man rode up on a motor scooter to the place of business sometime this afternoon and was given two estimates on the cost of a phone. He then allegedly verbally assaulted staff and left in a rage.
He then returned with a bottle that was believed to contain gasoline.
At the same time the manager of the store arrived and the man threw a cellular phone at him. The man then followed the manager inside the store and attempted to throw gasoline on the store and its staff.
It was reported that the manager managed to hold the irate man in a ‘choke lock’ and the police was called in.
The other details of what transpired after are sketcy.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were on the scene conducting investigations into the matter.

Recently, several persons were charged for attempting to loot BVI Communications following Hurricane Irma.
