Large Turn Out For Launch of Team UNITY “DISCUSSIONS FOR PROSPERITY” Townhall Meeting Series

Hard Torrential Rains did not deter the almost 200 persons from showing up

Despite the Torrential Showers the Joshua Obediah Primary School Room proved much to small a venue To house the over 200 persons that showed up to the first in a series of Townhall Meeting by the Team UNITY administration themed “DISCUSSIONS FOR PROSPERITY” .

The first in the Townhall Meeting Series saw presentations from Junior Minister of Health Hon. Wendy Phipps, Attorney General Vincent Byron Jr, and  Hon. Ian Patches Liburd all of whom joined Prime Minister and Consituency Representative the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris at the head table of the event.

Persons Stood Outside after Room became too packed

The large audience were able to interact with the Ministers and Prime MINISTER Harris and engaged in lively discussions and questions and answer sessions regarding current issues. The crowd was enthusiastic and were all obviously pleased with the opportunity to interact with the government in such a forum.

Forum’s and townhalled styled meetings such as what took place on Monday night are most often convened and organized during the lead up to election campaigns or during campaigns. However the Team UNITY Administration as part of their mandate to provide regular opportunities to interact with the administration if various forum;s launched the DISCUSSIONS FOR PROSPERITY Townhall meeting series.

The Meeting SERIES continues on Monday July 25th when Eaast Basseterre and Constituency Representative Hon. Ian Patches Liburd will host the second in the series of meetings at the Newtown Community Center  at 7pm.
