Shockwaves rippled through the entire USVI and Caribbean music scene as news of a tragic plane crash in St.Croix that was carrying 5 passengers including performer Kylo Sylvester, a lead singer of Stylee Band, made the rounds on social media. Fans and other well known performers  have taken to social media to express shock, following news that Kylo was among the five victims who died  last night, December 7 in the plane crash .

Stylee Band has performed at many shows throughout the region and was regarded as one of the very popular young USVI Bands.

Well known Orlando Based St.Kitts-St.Thomas Caribbean Music Ambassador DJ Kevy Kev took to social media and wrote “HE is my eyesight, the light in the hour of darkness, HE is my lifeline, the ruler in the heart of all flesh. HE will wipe away the stress & eliminate your anger; I can sight HIS fullness without my glasses; Defender of the Faith no matter what class or race, unto HIM we give all thanks & praise; The FAITH will keep you trodding for brighter days to come, Amen 🙏🏾 R.I.P Kyle “Kylo” Sylvester.”

The crash occurred around 8:45 pm on Thursday night, December 7, near the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport.

Reports are that the private chartered Baron-branded aircraft experienced engine problems soon after takeoff. Noticing a problem, the pilot attempted to land on the airport’s runway, but the plane reportedly crashed in a nearby field.

The pilot is included among those who died.

The names of the other victims have not been officially released.
