Basseterre, St.Kitts (August 16th):- St.Kitts-Nevis Minister of Tourism Hon. Lindsay Grant is expressing pride in the recent Olympic performance and historic Career of sprint legend Kim Collins. Grant called on Citizens and Nationals to celebrate the legendary career and achievements of Kim Collins. In a social media post Grant declared “Let’s celebrate Kim Collins. Let’s celebrate that he will go down in history as the only human over 40 yr old to run sub 10. He will be in the Guinness book of records. At the age of 40 he is the 19th ranked Sprinter in the World. Which means in a world of 5 billion people a National of St.Kitts and Nevis the smallest country in the Western Hemisphere is the 19th Fastest at aged 40. Unbelievable!!  Let’s celebrate the fact that Kim has put our small country on the map like no other has done. We have a living legend let’s celebrate him and big him up. “

Grant continued “Kim is a son of the soil and represents us as Kittitians and Nevisians flying our flag all over the world wherever he goes from Slovakia to the UK from Germany to Paris from Jamaica to Rio Kim has represented our country and us all with distinction. The historic and legendary way he performs is a phenomenal representation of all of us.”

The Minister of Trade and Commerce also commended the Team SKN at the Olympics and o their performance thus far and wished them best of luck for the remainder of the games.

“Antoine Adams (Team Captain), Kim Collins, Tameka Williams, Brijesh Lawrence, Lestrod Roland, Jason Rogers and Allistar Clark. I wish you all best of luck on your remaining events and I am proud of what you have been able to do by your mere presence at the Olympics,” said Grant
