Gun and Drugs Found in Newcastle Property on Nevis
Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 08, 2016 (RSCNPF): The execution of a search warrant yesterday (April 7) on a property in Newcastle, Nevis by officers of the Nevis Division for controlled drugs, arms and ammunition was fruitless.
Officers then began a search of a nearby ghaut and discovered an illegal firearm, ammunition and illegal drugs. One (1) .40mm pistol, a magazine with six (6) rounds of .40mm ammunition, eight(8) 12 gauge shotgun rounds, a quantity of marijuana plants and quantity of cocaine was found and seized by the Police.
The discovery of this firearm brings to seven (7) the number of illegal firearms removed from our communities so far in 2016.
