BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, August 28, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — After play in the ninth segment of the first round of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition on Tuesday August 27, defending champions Parsons Domino Club have leaped to the top of point standings after they narrowly edged out Unstoppable Domino Club 13-12.

Playing in their backyard at Back Way Bar in Parsons Ground, the defending champions had a tough time fighting off determined Unstoppable players who were all out to win the game. Before the meeting, the teams were the only two that had lost two games apiece in the first round of the competition. With the win, Parsons have won six games from the eight they have played, while Unstoppable have won five games from the eight they have played.

Two games were played at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, where in another very close game Sylvers Domino Club squeezed a 13-12 win over Small Corner Bar Domino Club, while Giants Domino Club beat former champions Unity Patriots Domino Club 13-11.

In the other two games played on Tuesday August 27, Guinness Domino Club beat Molineux Domino Club 14-9 at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion in Molineux, while Saddlers Domino Club beat Christchurch Domino Club 13-9 at Domino House in Mansion Village.

After the nine segments of play in the first round of the 24th edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, Parsons lead with 34 points, followed by Unstoppable 32 points, Small Corner 31 points, Unity Patriots 30 points, Saddlers 29 points, Guinness 25 points, Giants 24 points, Sylvers 23 points, Christchurch 18 points, Molineux 13 points, and Phillips 11 points.

Tenth segment of play in the first round of this year’s edition of the domino competition will be on Thursday August 29 at three venues. The two teams from Constituency Number Six, Saddlers and the defending champions Parsons, will not travel to Constituency Number Seven as they will be squaring it off at Shanty Bar in Saddlers Village.

The Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion in Molineux will be the venue for three games where Molineux will face Sylvers; Christchurch will come up against Phillips; and Unstoppable will face Unity Patriots. The Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project will host the game between Guinness and Giants.
