Barbados, Bahamas , Antigua-Barbuda and St.Kitts-Nevis Among Caribbean’s Top Ten Most Powerful Passports

Barbados leads a recently released listing of the Caribbean’s TOP Ten most powerful passports.  Barbados  Passport was ranked #1 followed by Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda and St Kitts and Nevis, according to a visa restriction index by Henley & Partners, a citizenship and planning firm.

St.Kitts-Nevis Passports worked their way back into the top 4 in the Caribbean after receiving heavy hits from the removal of the Canadian Visa Waiver as well as issuance of an Advisory by the US Treasury largely as a result of bad management by the government. A change in the administration in St.Kitts-nevis has resulted in a positive change for the St.Kitts-Nevis passport in terms of it’s power rankings.

Antigua and Barbuda Passports are now in the top 3 which was a spot that was mainly occupied by the St.Kitts-Nevis Passport before the Canadian Visa Waiver and US Advisory issues .

Barbados is ranked #26 in the world while Antigua –Barbuda is ranked #30 and St.Kitts-Nevis #32.

Henley and Partners  ranks nations or territories based on the number of countries their citizens can travel to visa-free to provide a gauge of each passport’s travel power.

Overall, Germany remains at the top of the pack while those issued in the United Kingdom and the United States rank third and fourth respectively.

German citizens can visit a whopping 177 countries without a visa.
