Flavian Bellot, a male adult of Gallion, died at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Thursday 18 May 2017 after he was found in a semi-conscious state on River Bank in Roseau earlier today.

Police Public Relations Officer, Pellam Jno Baptiste confirmed in a report to the media on Thursday that police investigations has commenced into a suspected homicide which occurred about 4AM on Thursday.

“The police responded to information which led to the discovery of an injured Flavian Bellot, male adult of Gallion,” he reported.

“Bellot was met in a semi-conscious state on River Bank in Roseau in the vicinity of Save –A-Lot Supermarket. He had sustained multiple wounds to his head and face,” Jno Baptiste added.

“He was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was medically examined but soon after succumbed to his injuries,” said.

A coroner’s inquest will be convened as police investigations into the suspected homicide continue.
