ANOTHER ILLEGAL FIREARM SEIZED BY POLICE

 

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 01, 2016 (RSCNPF): A stop and search operation executed by the officers of the Special Service Unit (SSU) and the Anti-Drug Unit on Tuesday (November 01) on a motor vehicle along the island’s main road in the West Farm’s area has resulted in the seizure of the twenty-eight (28) illegal firearm from our communities in 2016.

 

Seized during the stop and search was one (1) “P” nine pistol and eleven (11) rounds of ammunition.

 

Thirty (30) “dime” bags of  cannabis were also seized in during the stop.  

 

Two persons are in custody in relation to the find.

 

The removal of illegal firearms from our communities is one of deliverables of the Police Six Point Plan for the Reduction of Homicides and Violent Crimes in the Federation. 

 

Police removed 21 Illegal firearms from our communities in 2015.
